TEHRAN - Malaysia's Ambassador to Iran Khairi Bin Omar has said Iranian products are not strange to Malaysian consumers and called for the introduction of Iran-made goods in the Malaysian markets, IRNA reported.

“Iranian products are not strange in the Malaysian market, and efforts should be made to introduce more Iranian products in the markets of this country with broader interactions,” Bin Omar said in a meeting with the representatives of Zanjan Province private sector.

“There are many relations and commonalities between Iran and Malaysia, based on which the communication between the traders of the two countries should also be expanded,” the envoy stressed.

The official underlined the commonalities between the two countries in the food sector, noting that if their export and import of such products are promoted, it will be easier to accept these similarities.

“Considering the existing restrictions and sanctions, the expansion of trade relations and business interactions between the two countries will lead to the prosperity and dynamism of the economies of both sides,” he said.

The official finally called on the authorities of the two countries to take the necessary measures to pave the way for the private sectors of the two countries to interact more with each other.
